Stoney plays the central role in identifying, understanding, supporting, and implementing new technologies in support of WhatIf Networks mission and customers.
For more than two decades Stoney has been involved as a specialist in Mac OS, connectivity, Internet access, Web services, communications, integrated media, application training, and multi-media productions.
His educational background includes Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degrees in the disciplines of Theater Arts, Physics, and Computer Science, during which time he wrote second and third level language compilers as well as job control sequences for both Burroughs and Univac mainframes. Masters education took on a different direction as he received his Master of Fine Arts in Dance/Choreography from New York University/School of the Arts where he became employed after graduation. In New York he studied ballet extensively with Nannette Charrise while his choreographic works were produced by organizations such as Dance Theater Workshop and American Dance Festival.
Stoney is also a member of the United Scenic Artists Union, Local 829, in New York City working as a theatrical Lighting Designer in the fields of dance, theater and puppetry. His light designs have graced stages from Lincoln Center east to the National Theater in Sophia Bulgaria, west to NHK Hall in Tokyo Japan and back home again to the Kennedy Center in Washington DC. Stoney is also a active dancer, choreographer and teacher of ballet and modern dance techniques at the Casco Bay Movers Jazz Studio. Recently he has undertaken various venues of scenic creation and realization via a digital modality.
